Beginning in Reykjavik, our adventure takes us through the lush green landscapes of Iceland in the heart of summer, ideal for experiencing the wonders of this island firsthand. We’ll traverse rugged paths and venture into the most secluded valleys of the southern highlands, captivated by the breathtaking views that are highlighted by the striking contrast of black volcanic rock against the vivid green moss-covered terrain.
Overview
Join us as we journey to some of the most awe-inspiring sites in the South. Witness the beauty of Landmannalaugar’s colorful rhyolite mountains, bask in the black sands that stretch to the horizon, and experience the tremendous power of Laki’s volcanic craters. As we cross deep rivers and navigate steep mountain roads, we’ll encounter wild Icelandic horses roaming freely across these dramatic terrains. We’ll journey through the Valley of Thor, witness the eruption site of Eyjafjallajökull, and cross the legendary Krossa.
After each day of exploration, we’ll relax in charming local accommodations, ending the day with a delicious and locally-inspired meal. Each evening promises a perfect balance of adventure and comfort, making the journey as memorable as the destination.

Attention!
This adventure takes you into the heart of Iceland during the summer months, where the weather is still often unpredictable. To make sure you’re comfortable and ready for anything, it’s important to pack gear that can handle cold and wet conditions. You’ll need: sturdy waterproof boots, a warm hat, light gloves, and thermal base layers. Insulated but lighter outerwear is a must, along with rainproof outer layers, including waterproof pants, which are essential for staying dry and enjoying the adventure to the fullest.
